Seattle Public Schools 403(b) Vendors

General Vendor Information

Basic Information About Products

Investment products for 403(b) plans may be broken down into the following investment types:

  • Fixed Annuities
  • Variable Annuities with a Fixed Account
  • Variable Annuities without a Fixed Account
  • 403(b)(7) Custodial Mutual Funds (No-Load)
  • 403(b)(7) Custodial Mutual Funds (Load)
  • 403(b)(7) Custodial Mutual Funds (Deferred Sales Charges)

Various vendors may offer one or more of these types of investments. Look for fund profiles, performance, prospectuses, and fees associated with specific vendors in the column to the right for information about particular offerings.

How do I choose a Vendor?

Generally speaking, vendors market their 403(b) investment products using one or more of the following approaches:

  • Agents Who Are Contracted Exclusively with the Vendor
  • Independent 403(b) Practitioners
  • Regional or Central Office Employees
  • Seminars, Meetings, and/or Brochure Distribution
  • Websites

Vendors Eligible to Receive Contributions

403(b) TSA Vendors with Active Payroll Slots

Important: The list below represents those Vendors that currently hold Active Payroll Slots in the Seattle Public Schools 403(b) Plan. This list was updated to remove Vendors that vacated the 403(b) market on or before 12/31/2008, thus establishing the initial list of Vendors holding Payroll Slots under the Employer's 403(b) Plan Document. Additional Vendor-specific information (viewable by clicking a Vendor's name in the following list) is being added to the site by the Vendors themselves, and should expand and improve over time.

Employees of Seattle Public Schools are eligible to apply for an account under the 403(b) Plan with any Vendor whose name appears in the following list. Please see Enrollment Procedures for details on how to do this:

403(b) TSA Vendors with Inactive Payroll Slots

Important: The list below represents those Vendors that currently hold Inactive Payroll Slots in the Seattle Public Schools 403(b) Plan. This list was updated to remove Vendors that vacated the 403(b) market on or before 12/31/2008, thus establishing the initial list of Vendors holding Payroll Slots under the Employer's 403(b) Plan Document. Additional Vendor-specific information (viewable by clicking a Vendor's name in the following list) is being added to the site by the Vendors themselves, and should expand and improve over time.

Employees of Seattle Public Schools already contributing to the Vendors below may continue to do so. However, before additional employees will be allowed to begin contributions to one of these vendors, a sufficient number of additional contributors must submit Salary Reduction Agreements as a group to reach a total of 5 active contributors:

Vendors Eligible to Receive Exchanges, Transfers, and Rollover Contributions

The following Vendors have entered into Information Sharing Agreements with Seattle Public Schools, either indirectly via umbrella CCC agreements or directly via agreements that designate CCC as an agent for Seattle Public Schools and as an information sharing party on behalf of Seattle Public Schools. These Vendors are able to receive contract exchanges within the Plan, plan-to-plan transfers into the Plan, and Rollover Contributions into the Plan.

403(b) TSA Vendors with Direct to Employer ISAs

The following Vendors have entered into an ISA directly with Seattle Public Schools that designates CCC as an agent for the Employer for information sharing purposes. Click a Vendor below for further information about that Vendor (American Funds Distributors, Inc., has established Information Sharing Agreements with all Employers for which American Funds holds a Payroll Slot, but will not be an "Exchanges Only" Vendor in any Employer's 403(b) Plan) :

Orphaned Vendors

An Orphaned Vendor for Seattle Public Schools is a Vendor that received contributions under the Plan during the period 1/1/2005 through 12/31/2008, but has not and will not receive Contributions, Exchanges, Transfers, or Rollover Contributions into Accounts under the Plan after 12/31/2008. The following list includes all known Seattle Public Schools Orphaned Vendors:
