Fidelity Investments (aka: Fidelity) - General Status
TRANSACTION PROCESSING ALERT: Fidelity Investments requires “wet signatures” by the Participant and by CCC on distribution transaction processing forms. Please mail completed, signed, and dated Fidelity distribution related forms directly to CCC for processing. For processing contract exchanges, CCC has provided a list of vendors eligible to receive contract exchanges. As a result, Fidelity should process the contract exchange to an eligible vendor without requiring further sign-off by CCC. Please note that no loans or hardship distributions are allowed through Fidelity Investments Registered Investment Advisor Authorization Forms do not need to be authorized by the Employer if a Direct ISA (in the form of a Fidelity RKA) is in place between the Employer and Fidelity.
Fidelity Investments is remaining in the 403(b) market, but will not enter into Information Sharing Agreements (ISAs) with third parties. Fidelity Investments is not offering an ISA, but rather a Record Keeping Agreement (RKA) with information sharing language. Employers who have entered into Fidelity Investment RKAs and instructions for Employers who wish to complete an RKA can be found by clicking here. On June 21, 2010 some Employers and effected Employees received notices from Fidelity Investments indicating that the company will no longer be offer the Fidelity Advisors 403(b) investment option and will no longer accept contributions to existing accounts as of October 1, 2010. This change will only effect a small group of participants with Fidelity accounts, as the vast majority of participants contribute to Fidelity Investment accounts rather than Fidelity Advisor accounts. Employers have been notified directly of which participant accounts this change applies to and the participants will individually receive letters notifying them of this change.
